Comment by mixter a few wild guesses on frostmourne: 1.
Comment by mixter some interesting facts: the place underground where you find the hearth is guarded by faceless ones their leader-yogg saron look at the ceeling doesnt it resemble yogg's brain room? Comment by mixter well maybe he woke up before this patch but they didnt send any expeditions.
Comment by Groobert Btw im sorry to say this but Frostmourne shouldnt be a usable sword. I mean, in warcraft lore it steals the souls of whoever comes in contact with it so by wielding it the player would have his soul taken away and turn into another Arthas type bad guy.
So frostmourne being usable is just not alright. Even if its power dies off then it would just be a useless peice of steel and leather.
Also the lich king's helm shouldnt be usable for the same reason. Comment by Saint Matthias d. The plot thickens Comment by actually i hope that Illidan would be redeemed not Arthas! Comment by atkrei i went to the spot on the map but i cant find him, does any1 know where he is so i can start the quest?
Comment by Perseo actually i hope that Illidan would be redeemed not Arthas! Comment by I think blizz got some inspiration for this questline from Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets It guided him to do his bidding, and shows the person some things from his own point of view.
The cherry on the cake of similarities is that the vision is an anagram of the bad guy's name! Comment by Perseo talking about frostmourme, i think he would be dropped as a legendary item that not a weapon but starts a ques like "The Frostmourne's Purify" where it woul at last be free of the ner'zuls corruption.
Comment by Well think about this Why is Arthas trying to Protect his Heart? Quick Facts. He offers three strange quests which seem out of place for his location, one called "Return to the Surface" and referencing a portal behind him. There's no such thing and the NPC is not underground.
I suspect his placement is incorrect at this location and he belongs in some underground location. On a different note: the name Matthias Lehner is an anagram for Arthas Menethil, which would make sense considering you also find a frozen heart down when you meet him. Comment by Malvenue Nevermind. Matthias Lehner looks to properly be at He is reached by doing the quests of Sergeant Kregga.
It appears he is appearing in two places in WotLK. Comment by It list on this site that this npc is located at Sindragos Fall and gives out the quest 'Where Dragons Fell" But I havent been able to find him ingame.
Any hlep as to where this guy is or if not him the real quest giver? Comment by Malvenue NPC also found at Apparently he's supposed to be in different places or perhaps phases to different places based on your progression along his quest lines.
Comment by Nulgar It may be pure coincidoink, but Lehner written "Lenher" on the page that brought me here and started this train of thought sounds kinda like the German word Lehnsherr , which means liege lord , which again sounds a lot like lich Comment by It all starts on the Orgrim's Hammer horde when you get the quest "Opportunity".
You get to speak to Sergeant Kregga who is below the citadel. She will send you to missions close by. During the quest Blow it Up! The fuse go off fast and you get thrown down by the blast into the big hole at middle.
After a long fall, you end up at Naz'anak: The Forgotten Depths. In the water you fall is a frozen heart which is actually Arthas' heart. A few simple quests down here send you to Matthias Lehner who is actually the ghosty child Arthas : He sends you back to Koltira Deathweaver on Orgrim's Hammer.
